On Friday May 12, Botswana’s Minister of Lands and Water Affairs, Kefentse Mzwinila toured the construction site for the new Mmamashia Water Treatement plant to appreciates progress of the works.

The minister reiterated that the project will help address water shortages in and around Gaborone.

In his presentation, Project Manager at the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) Moanamisi Tawana, reported to the minister that the project is on course to be completed on time before end of this year.

The new Mmamashia water treatment plant was designed and constructed by Khato Civils and South Zambezi Engineering Services joint venture and, once completed, shall treat 110 mega litres of raw water per day.
