REPORTS TO : SITE ENGINEER

LOCATION : SALIMA – (LIFUWU, KATENGEZA, MVERA & CHEZI)
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in management of day-to-day construction activities on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preparing daily / weekly / monthly works schedule for construction teams
- Checking and inspecting quality of works being done by construction teams
- Following up on materials tests
- Assist in preparing daily / weekly / monthly progress reports
- Attending progress review meetings
- Measuring and recording the works on site
- Assist in enforcing health and safety regulations on site
- Maintain site records including daily logs, progress report and inspection reports
- Assist in documenting and tracking changes plans and specifications
Minimum Qualification
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering; structural engineering, or related field

2. MATERIALS ENGINEERS (2 INTERNS)
REPORTS TO : DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT : CIVIL ENGINEERING
LOCATION : SALIMA – (LIFUWU, KATENGEZA, MVERA & CHEZI)
JOB PURPOSE
To monitor implementation of quality management plan on the project
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in inspection of the works and comparing it with drawings and specifications
- Maintain site inspection, materials testing, personnel and equipment records on site
- Make sure that site diaries are filled properly
- Participate in materials testing and checking
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Verify all work schedules and site records
- Follow up on all site technical issues
- Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them
- Keeping detailed records of work
- Ensure construction work is being done in compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety requirements
Minimum qualifications
- A minimum of a national diploma or degree in Civil / Geology / Materials science and Engineering or a related engineering field.
Competencies/Skills/Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB) can be an asset.

3. ENGINEERING SURVEYOR (1 INTERN)
REPORTS TO : ENGINEERING SURVEYOR
DEPARTMENT : CIVIL ENGINEERING
LOCATION : SALIMA – (LIFUWU, KATENGEZA, MVERA & CHEZI)
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in the preparation and consolidation of a GIS database for the project using Geospatial technologies, that will facilitate asset management, operation and maintenance, improve service delivery and enhance revenues in the long-term. The database will provide a geospatial or GIS interface for decision makers, which links an asset and customer database created through extensive ground surveys with digital maps generated from satellite imagery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the topographic survey of sanitation facilities and verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Assist in the mapping of the sewage network and onsite sanitation facilities.
- Collect Ground Control Points for geo-referencing of sanitation facilities
- Assist in preparation of Geo-reference cadastral maps
- Assist in carrying out household surveys for sewage customer database
- Utilize GIS/GPS technology to develop and produce maps, data, and reports
- Assist in coordinating and supervising the work of consultants, contractors and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of Sanitation component under the project
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma or certificate in Land surveying

4. SOCIAL SAFEGUARDS/SAFETY & QUALITY OFFICERS (2 INTERNS)
REPORTS TO : SAFEGUARDS/SHE OFFICER

LOCATION : SALIMA – (LIFUWU, KATENGEZA, MVERA & CHEZI)
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that construction activities comply with social policies, laws and regulations governing both national/Country Policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance and operation of the Social Safeguards compliance monitoring system including reporting progress of implementation of Social Safeguards;
- Assist in stakeholder engagement and public consultations and ensure that the views of stakeholders are collated, documented adequately integrated in implementation of social safeguards activities;
- Support preparation of periodic projects progress reports with adequate input on projects performance on social Safeguards;
- Ensure adequate social safeguards records and documentation are kept (including photographs,) of works and sub projects and adequate documentation of stakeholders’ consultations and land affirmations;
- Assist in carrying out periodic inspections of the project and activities to ensure environmental, social, health and safety (ESHS) compliance (including Occupational Health and Safety);
- Support implementation and monitoring of the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) for the project;
- Collaborate with the environmental safeguards team to ensure a cohesive approach to environmental and social risk management;
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities related to social issues as required.

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that construction activities comply with social policies, laws and regulations governing both national/Country Policies.

- Collaborate with teams to address environmental risks and prepare mitigation strategies
- Participate in site inspections to ensure adherence to environmental safeguards.
- Prepare reports and presentations on environmental findings and recommendations
- Assist in the creation of environmental awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives for staff, visitors, and the public.
- Provide research assistance in areas related to environmental management. remote arrangements, working hours must align, at least partially, with Bangkok time to ensure effective communication with the headquarters.

JOB PURPOSE
To assist in ensuring that the electrical and mechanical components of a water supply system work together seamlessly to provide a reliable and efficient source of water.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in receiving and certifying both electrical and mechanical plant on site
- Assist in installing and ensuring that pumps are installed correctly and operate efficiently to meet the required water flow and pressure.
- Participate in inspection of pumping and electrical systems to ensure that they comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in scheduling of tasks and coordination of site electromechanical activities
- Assist in supervision of labourers and subcontractors doing electromechanical activities
- Prepare weekly, monthly reports
Minimum Qualification
- Diploma / degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

To assist in supervising and performing technical work and overseeing a construction team, while adhering to safety regulations and company policies
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in supervising and assigning tasks and providing guidance to construction teams.
- Record work progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
- Participate in planning and scheduling of work activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures on site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment maintenance, and other relevant information.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.

The Finance Assistant Intern will play a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Finance Officer with preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operating reports, budgets, and financial statements;
- Successfully manage accounts receivable and payable, banking and cash management, and payroll;
- Conduct financial research, analyze data, and prepare special projects;
- Perform month-end closing activities, assist with the annual budgeting process, and prepare and process payroll;
- Identify and resolve financial and operational issues;
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial-related information.

Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of an office or department by managing tasks like scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiating the maintenance and rehabilitation of all project property;
- Organizing and maintaining files;
- Acting as point of contact for clients, customers and suppliers;
- Developing and implementing an inventory of all property, fleet and security management systems;
- Taking and distributing mail;
- Arranging travel and accommodation for staff;
- Coordinating meeting and events;
- Updating the inventory of furniture and equipment;
- Administering and managing contracts for outsourced services;
- Preparing periodic report.

JOB PURPOSE
To assist in tasks like taking off quantities from drawings, preparing material schedules, valuations, and supporting site inspections and reporting, and management of day-to-day construction activities on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Measuring and valuing work on site.
- Preparing valuations for work completed.
- Negotiating contracts with subcontractors.
- Calculating and estimating the costs of materials, labor, and equipment on site.
