THEME – *STEPPING INTO THE FUTURE OF POSSIBILITIES*
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, Esteemed Faculty Management, Proud Lectures, and Most Importantly, the Graduands.
It is an immense honour to stand before you tonight, a gathering of bright minds and resilient spirits, on the threshold of new beginnings. Today marks not just the zenith of your academic journey, but also the dawn of a new chapter where your courage, wisdom, and perseverance will be tested by the world beyond these walls as you are stepping into the future of possibilities.
As the glamour of promising future is luminous, a lot of personal introspection and self rumination is imperative to triumph in the game of life in all aspects. You need to challenge the status quo. You need to challenge some traditions and cultures to be an Ubermanch ( Super Human). You need to create paths in virgin lands. Avoid being credulous ie willing to believe things without substantial proof, Its also obnoxious for being Obstinate ie stubbornly adhering to an opinion despite compelling evidence.
As we are in the end of 4th Industrial Revolution starting 5th Industrial revolution, this generation faces a lot of threat from Artificial Intelligence ( AI) and Internet of Things (IoT). AI and IoT will redefine which skills are in demand. Personal mitigation programmes are needed to adapt and survive in this era of human -AI collaboration.
Academically and professionally we need to continue with our C.P.D ie Continuous Professional Development but to really grow in wisdom and success we need to enhance our Personal Development Programmes. In this case we need to understand the laws of nature, cultivate habits of success, be open to learn progressive neoteric ideas and unlearn retrogressive orthodox practices.
As you step in the future of possibilities, you need to understand all areas of life, from philosophy, Logic, Critical Thinking, cosmology and astrophysics among other areas of life. Most importantly you need to have a clear personal Vision, Clarity of Purpose, Good work ethics , Honest and integrity. Improve your networking Skills as your network is your Networthy. You need to cultivate the cardinal virtues of Wisdom and Knowledge, Courage, Justice and Fairness, temperance and moderation.
As I reflect on this moment, I am reminded of the words of Friedrich Nietzsche, who once said, “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” Your education has provided you with a purpose—an understanding of the world, of yourself, and of the values that will guide you through the challenges ahead. It is this ‘why’ that will fortify you when faced with adversity. Have a burning Desire to Succeed and prosper in life.
Nietzsche also urged us to embrace life with a spirit of courage and authenticity: “Become who you are.” Your journey has been about discovery, about forging your unique path amid the noise of the world. Remember, true strength lies in embracing your individuality and standing firm in your convictions and resolute.
Ancient European philosophers like Socrates and Aristotle also offer timeless wisdom. Socrates famously proclaimed, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” As you step forward, continue to question, to seek truth, and to cultivate wisdom. It is through inquiry that you will find clarity and purpose. In facing the world, remember that resilience is born of purpose, humility, and an unwavering commitment to growth. The journey ahead will test your resolve, but it will also offer opportunities for profound transformation.
NEVER HATE WHAT YOU DESIRE ie If you want to be successful don’t hate successful people. Embrace and learn from them how its done. Your Affiliations determines your Fraternity.
As you go forth, carry with you the wisdom of these ages—embrace your individuality, seek truth relentlessly, act with humility, and stand firm in your values. The world awaits your unique contributions.
