Khato Civils Capacity
Khato Civils has over the past few years made significant investment towards building a strong equipment backbone. The Management of the Company has placed a strong emphasis in growing the Company’s fleet and heavy plant equipment. The heavy plant equipment, fully owned by Khato Civils, includes excavators, TLBs, Tipper Trucks and flat bedded trucks. The Gauteng based workshop is fully equipped and has competent personnel to perform major repairs on the fleet and heavy plant equipment.
As part of the workshop, Khato Civils has a mobile team that is always ready to provide support to the different teams within the Company working at different sites at any given time. Khato Civils is able to perform tasks efficiently as the right equipment is always used for the right job at hand. Projects are always completed on time and within budget as downtime is minimized whenever there is equipment breakdown. As a Company Khato Civils has an excellent record in areas of safety.

Project experience
Khato Civils has extensive experience in the delivery of water and waste water services. We are fully familiar with municipal standards, regulations, expectations and modus operandi thereby enabling us to successfully co-ordinate our activities with the municipality and to provide assistance on any aspect within the water services sector. Our activities typically include management, operation and maintenance services for both water and sewage bulk treatment plants, including the main distribution, pumping and storage systems, as well as water reticulation and waste water sewer networks.
Khato Civils implemented a R2.8 billion project in the Mopani district for the emergency water and waste water intervention.
a) Transnet Saldanha Bay Bulk Power Supply
b) Refurbishment of the North South Carrier pump station 1.1 and 2.1 in Botswana.
c) Installation of internal water and sewer reticulation and the construction of Bulk water and Sewer services in Hammanskraal Ex 10.
d) Construction of outfall sewer to the Polokwane regional waste water treatment works.
e) M1 Double Decker bridge rehabilitation and upgrade.
f) Replacement of old asbestos pipeline with a 345 km PVC pipeline in Giyani.
